per UW, antimetabolites belong to G1 while alkylating agents are s phase

but in other books, antimetabolistes are s phase drug, alkylating agents are cell cycle non-specific .

which is correct? thanks

i not nothing to worry as every second author has new opinion.......but most of the books agree with what is written above.

Alkylating agents r CCNS (Cell Cyclic Non Specific) they kill the tumor cells in both their cycling and resting of the cell cycle.

Antimetabolites CCS (Cell Cylic Specific) they attack the cells during the S phase cell cycle.
