Hi, GGT. Since it's new, I think it's too early to figure out a correlation. But, you could look at regular Qbank scores with the CK score, though am not sure how accurate it will be in case they have recently made the Qbank easier/harder. So sorry that I can't help more.

Btw, don't you think it's time to change your 'I PASS Step 1'? It's so last year.  Hope you're not waiting to take and pass CK to change it.

My exam is coming soon and Im getting the brrrrrr of the test
I feel I do not know nothing, but in one way that is good because it makes me want to study more.
I need a 500 in NBME3 iFI get that I take the test the sam eweek

Actually, I came by here y'day, but did not leave a post, coz I saw that you had been online, so I knew that you were alive and kicking. But, I did not leave a post, coz I didn't want to disturb. Plus the previous 2 posts were mine already!
You still have so many buddies left here. Count me among them. And, looks like you're moving on soon as well. Have you taken CS yet? These days I'm struggling hard to juggle CK and CS, coz my CS is in a few weeks. May have to push CK a bit ahead.
I wish you the best for NBME. Go grab that 500, hope you get more than that. No time for feeling alone!

No GLOS for CK, coz CK is NOT in control like Step 1 was. CK is on its knees .....No GLOS at all this time.

Many months ago I remember you asked about this. I just came across it tonight and remembered you. Anyhow here it is:
1. A common disease presenting in a common way (horses);
2. A common disease presenting in an uncommon way;
3. An uncommon disease presenting in a common way; and
4. An uncommon disease presenting in an uncommon way (zebras).
After seeing horse after horse, we develop pattern recognition and must be careful not to automatically identify every case as a horse, potentially failing to recognize a true zebra.

This is one of my favorites - eosinophiluria:
- interstitial nephritis
- UTIs (pyelonephritis, prostatitis, parasites - schistosoma)
- ateroemboli in renal vasculature
- some glomerulonephritis (postinfectious, RPGN)
- interstitial or eosinophylic cystitis
- some vasculitis (Churg-Straus)
- some tumors (not sure about this)

For:
Afib + CHF -give Dig
Afib in a healthy pt. =give ASA
Afib + risk of stroke - give Warfarin
Afib + WPW -give IV procainamide (drug of choice) OR Disopyramide -NO DIG or CCBs here!!!
Afib (chronic) -give IV Diltiazem OR Beta blockers
-you can also do Eectric Cardioversion if they have been anticoagulated for 3-4 weeks (b/c risk of emboli)

I just ralise why the muskulo skeltal part in evluations comes with borderline or just a bit above borderline.
I always said I knew I nail that section but last night a friend made me see I do not KNOW NOTHING about dermatology, and dermatology in include it in musculoskeletical section
So for today Saturday I will become a dermatologist, then do some questions.

Some of the basic Derma stuff
its open, the stuff inside the comedones gets oxidized so it gets black and doesnt if its closed so its white
tinea versicolor: if you go to the bitch anf get a sun burn the areas affected by tinea versicolor will stay white or will not have sun burn. You tx with imidazol or selenium
Vitiligo is asociated to addison, anemia pernicious, hypothyroidism, diabtes insipipus
rosacea is when you get acne after 30 years old, you tx with "metronidazol" or tetracyclin.
Fisher says that when you see tetracyclin you use doxicycline, is that right?
