i AM NEW TO THIS FORUM...FEEL ITS GREAT GOING WRITING YOUR DAILY GOING.first of all good luck to everyone. I have my exam on4 th august...I am left with some 1100 q of UW, done q book IM, EDS, SYCH, N SOME OBG, and first read kaplan IM,peds(almost finishing touches left) n now gotta cover all the rest left...not very well planned but I wil make it now!!!!

So guys here I am I finished with 46 UW questins and 46 more to go, doing OBG....lets see how much I finish today...4 hours more to go...

I did 46 UW in morning with full ex. and then 46 more but cud nt finish em....did only 15 ...wil d more 2moro with newer vigour...
God bless me and give me the strength to carry mt duties well!

I am getting too low scores ...I usually start with 30s in a block( no first reading yet) n then go on to 65 to 70...I think I wil do better with a first reading but time is less n my UW is til 12th..wil extend it for bout a week though. well....things take time...but someday..somewhere....

Today's target is yesterday's left explanations..some 35..then 2 UW blocks of UW today...n den I have to go to my job n also meet my darling who too is studying for 2nd step to get a lot of energy to work!!!
IT IS NOT LIFE THAT MATTERS IT IT THE COURAGE YOU BRING TO IT!!!!

Done with dose left revision of yesterday...real tough ones in OBG..but nw I wil remember ...turner syndrome fsh is high due to lack of feedback inhibition from Inhibin, primary amennorhoea bcoz of menopause b4 menarche and there is high testosterone due to to working ovarian stroma! n ALSO THAT do a colposcopy after pap CIN n adenomyosis causes menorrhagea in elderly more than endometrisis n epidural anesthesia causes transient overflow incontinence!!!! learning stilll.......2 blocks more to go today....I am loving it!!!

finished with 46 UW with explanations now have to do 46 q more...wil do dose explanations 2moro...feeling so sleeping already! qs are tough...and I have other issues like visa n Job etc....but hey I am the one.....

Today net broke down n some other engagements....so did only 3 chapters of OBG from kaplan....now wil resume my UW from where I left it yesterday....so ......

This was one of those days when no matter how hard you try...some or the other thing wil bug you down...if its nt the net...ur mom wants to g to market...or your dad's friend arrives...or your relatives need an ear...stil managed to do one block revision and dose 3 OBG ch...very less I knw.....wishing a better 2moro!!!

finished with psychiatry UW questions...averaging 58 but without a firest read its ok I think....though its just same as in first step...now wil start with surgery UW....177Q IN TOTAL...N i HAVE NOT YET READ THE NOTES.........learning tool!!!make me learn fast please.....hope to finish surgery q by monday....then I have some 600 q of IM to do....

Dear Jana..
I have 2ms & 10 days for my exam, so we can make a study plan together if u like..
I almost finished IM rev, & I solved around 25% of UW IM quest,my average score is 56
I'm not glad with it but I decided not to let it take me down & I will try to learn from my mistakes
I started Ped (General) today, I'm supposed to finish it tomorrow.

first blok of UW surgery done lots of notes I added to notebookgot so new fundas got just 14/46 but I think Uw is fabulous!!!! will do another blok nw

Solved one block of nbme, I have doubts on around 16 qs (I have 8 blocks of nbme qs on my comp but without ans, o ill post the quest I'm not comfortable with later)
Finished Child Immuniz, Infections & Immunity disorders (My weak points in Ped)
Today I'll finish up all the general, & I'll solve a block on Ped today on UW
UW is great but try to learn ur mistakes, get the concept & then screen the notes quickly..
Good luck, I'll have to go to work now, hopefully I'll be able to study there..

I did 46 q of UW surgery with answers then 46 again without ans Looked up ortho ones from my old textbook, feeling better.............I think surgery kaplan doesnt have all the stuff.... so Cirus hope you have done today's work well...I am preparing good notes to revise I feel..revision with kaplan would help me get a better grasp on these concepts....

I stumbled a little yest, I had some work, when i came back I solved 20 uw qs on ped, got 11 right not bad i guess as I didn finish revesing & as usual, discovering tremendous amounts of new things on uw bank that r not in Kaplan, then out of the bloom my Laptop Crashed, The windows wouldn't start, I tried everything & at the end I had to re-install the win again..what a drag.
Today I have to finish Ped, Then I'll try to go throuth the adverse effects of Psychiatry drugs (vvvvv High yield) Before I'll go over Psychiatry tom..
Surgery is very easy if u get the idea about how to act in every situation & the clues(eg sternal fracture or 1st or 2nd + deteriorating or in shock---->must exclude aortic rupt, & other), if u do it this way, it will be much easier, but i'm not sure this works for uw surgery, didn do it yet

Today was not that efficient! Yest cirus stumbled n today was my turn....wanted to finish with surgery but one block left to be done...think I got tired yest..n so I did just 46 explanations I carried over from yesterday...good ones though..I downloaded First aid step2 from a site n that took some time...weather was good so went to park too....
Surgery is easy when you get the basics..Ortho needs some sttention..and some vignettes are new to me as in India we never got such cases....but I find em interesting...
Wil definitely finish surgery q 2moro n start with IM ONES....

Welcome Dear Neuroblastoma....I finished surgery q today...though due to my silly mistakes got only 17 correct out of 37. But as Goljan said' OK I DIDNT KNOW THIS, BUT NOW I KNOW THIS' keep going and keep studying. I wil do IM q now....n I wil start with GIT as after surgery doing GIT makes sense...isnt it!!!! well lets keep going!

hi jana,can see you are doing a good job with your preparation.wanted to find out from you, did you go through the notes before doing UW or did you start wih UW and then go back to review the notes, hope to study for step 2 under the shortest time possible and am still confused about how to go about this.i need some guidance.

Hi...sorry but I am better here...I read IM, did Q book for Im, Peds, OBG N PSYCH, then read the topics back....yet to read kaplan notes for surgery, obg,psych. I too have short time. In my view just reading kaplan without knowing the tactics of the exam is wasting time, so its better to do Q and then read the q, like start with kaplan Q book or Q bank n den read the topics...i HAVE DONE UW almost, would give a kaplan notes read after this, have prepared nice UW notes n den I wud probably take kaplan Q bank subscription...depends on time....
