which is better
going for step 1 directly or go thru others like mph etc
since anyway its going to take a long time meanwhile y can't one do that
is it advisable?

Yes MPH is gonna take sometime, but that allows u the option of staying in US, probably taking some live courses if u want, u can do some voluntary community services, build contacts, try for USCE in somenearby hospitals.
But the bad part is the competition for USMLE is really hotting up, jo its better to get over it asap.
