if somebody is already a resident in a program, can his spouse have more chances of getting matched to the same program (not because of PDs being asked to favor...but it being a sort of "couple case")?

A couple is two persons who are in the same year. The problem would be if one person is strong and the other isn't as strong, it's hard to tell a resident that your spouse isn't a strong candidate. We have had that happen and it's not pretty. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.....
