Z-E is part of MEN-I which is tumors of pit. gland, parathryoid, and pancreas assoc. with peptic ulcers and Z-E synd. have no clue about excessie Vit. A causing hypercalcemia

Vitamin A in high doses, such as those found in retinoid therapy for acne, can directly stimulate bone resorption by functioning as a transcription factor in osteoclast stimulation. Trans-retinoic acid, used for treatment of some leukemias, can elevate calcium with this mechanism, particularly when coupled with voriconazole. had to search for it
