Congratulations !!! and Thanks a lot for all these very useful experiences and comments... even though I'm not sure it will be that easy for me... Ur previous formation specially being a Radiologist may play an important role but now I know It makes sense I have to focus on the high-yield facts. I'll do my best !!! Cheers !!!

congratulations and thanks for a nice exam experience and advice. I have a question to ask you: I have been offered a paid Research Assistanship in Radiology at a reputed med school in the US. I was told that I would be publishing papers as well as learning lots of new stuff. I was wondering if I should also add some observership (if yes what subject would you recommend?) to increase my chances to get into a 'quality' residency. I was told that with the RA and some great LOR , I should be set. but the lack of US clinical exposure worries me. Any advice would be welcome!! obrigado!

kalyann, we must be related !!! unless you chose your ID name because you like smoking the shisha (it is called kalyann in Russian). what do you mean by what do i do? if i understand your question well, I am an IMG preparing for the boards and at the same time got this position as a RA. I was wandering how to work up something with observerships there.. but am not sure if i need to go through the 'Official route' of application for an observership or once there, will get to know people and they ll allow me to do an observership in an unofficial manner but still get the LOR and experience. Those that do observerships, do they get a 'transcript with an evaluation' once done? or simply put it down their resumes?

ohh.. I am not in Russia now. I am in the USA. I got friends in the US who s an assistant professor of radiology and got the job through him. Getting those RA are not that hard if you are in the USA already. Just do some door knocking and someone will open the door. what about you kalyann? what do you do?
