Hey guys.
Does anybody have an idea of how many questions UW has in their qn pool?
I know that we get access to about 2000 qns if you sign up for a month. But, they have more, right? So, if I sign up for 2 months, do I get 2k or 4k? On the same line, will it be better to buy for a month and then extend[so you get newer qns] or buy for 2 months straight[same 2k qns, but access over 2 months]?[though it's slightly more expensive that way]

UW has 2006 qs for today. It doesn't matter for how long period you going to buy it.
You can buy it for 1mo and then extend it, it's cheaper. What I did. And what I think good about it , It's not only great qs , it's not so expensive and they always add a new fresh qs.

my doubt basically is if i extend for an additional month, will i have 2000 all new qns, or will much of it be the same. with a few new ones?

the questions do not change paheli....it will still be those 2000 questions and yu can decide if yu want to subscribe for a month or 6 months or whatever...yu will not get new questions.
when yu extend it, yu can still have all your personal settings saved...i mean all the questions that yu marked to revise in the end or whatever.
so basically, yu will not get new questions by extending your subscriptions or buying a subscription again. it will be the same 2000 questions.

in your opinion, is it better to get for 1 month or 2? coz i'd obviously like to save the money if possible. is it possible to go through all 2k qns in a month, assuming that i do it at an average rate? or will it last in to the 2nd month, whereby it would be better to pay for 2 months at the start.

i would suggest to go for atleast 2 months as yu will most likely end up extending your subscription if yu buy it for just a month. keep the end of the subscription closer to your exam date so everything is fresh in your mind when yu go for the exam.
well, i am yet to subscribe for UW for step 1...but i did it for step 2 and it was cheaper to buy a two month time in advance than to extend it later...thats how it will always be...thats business. but do check all the costs involved by checking their website and go for whatever is cost effective for a 2 month subscription period.
my prep is average until now and i just discovered that some new 2007 lectures are out and i am wondering if i should buy them or not. what do you say? any idea about the reliability of the site-usmlepro.com?

thanks again, rock. you've certainly have certainly helped me make up my mind.
i had never heard about usmlepro before. but, i checked out their website. looks like they sell kaplan material, huh. since they mention no where that they are affiliated to kaplan, that means it might be pirated, and you must be careful about the quality. Also, what material are you using now? Do you expect the latest material to be significantly different from your current sources? Their price is also quite steep.

rock if you mean the new 2007 kaplan books, dont worry cuz they are almost the same and they tell you if you already started with the 2006 just stick with them
