not good ,i know ..this issooo stupid ...i m freaking out...plz help me somebobody....what will u guys suggest me shud i quit?i dont wanna study any more....i hate to now....no matter what i will do now it cannot go up..i am a poor student...i hate myself......

kingusmle ... ignore ignore ignore ... just have some patience and youll find some of the nice people out there to help you ... maybe by tomorrow youll get a bunch of replys so, dont worry but for now, nothing cant be changed. it looks like youve past a long road till now. So, its crazy to stop now just some more effort buddy. Have some time off, re-adjust your self, design a new schedual, set a new plan, change some things around you and the most important start concentrating on the points of weakness. Then try an other NBME and see what happens.
By the way im sure that you love your self otherwise why go through all of this medicine stuff .
Good luck ... Keep going ,,, its not time to get depressed yet .

well how many NBME's have u given did u score an even 500 on all of them or did ur socre improve while doing them if ur score has improved then i wud suggest u to go ahead and give the exm n not think over it. but if u havent then u need a breather and take an anxioloytic after that pick any Qbank or NBME 3 & 4 together in a go and see how many of them u got correct that will tell ur actual progress.
Wht I hope Usmlefever is trying to implicate by saying that u shd quit is that a negative thought and zero confidence is not going to help u in anyway at all. If u do start thinking of quiting then u seriously need to evaluate the reason u r giving MLE.
I do sincerely hope that he didnt mean any negative comment by it.

thanku sooo much prayingfor 99...really appreiate that .....i needed a boost and u provided that ..love u all ...just love this forum....u are right i need to set a new plan but i am really very tired ..4 months of endless study .....
nnl..this was my first standard paid nbme ever..and yes u are right when i was pratising the downloaded forms my score was rising ...thanks alot guys

but 500 isnt bad.look,NBME doesnt correlate to the real score as much as we all think.i scored 440,410 and 430 on NBME 1,2 and 3 respectively and i scored 214 on the real exam which by NBME standards is a 480.so dont be discouraged by your NBME scores.instead,pay more attention to the profile that they plotted against your score.that is really helpful and will help you learn your weak areas and strengthen them.all the best.

when somebody who got 500 on nbme & talk about quiting & hopelessly i think my advice was right think about it b/c you have exam score thread here & day night debate about nbme score correlation & when somebody show up with this kind of depression i don't think he is asking about sincere advice any way if you want to listen nbme 500 is really a very good score.

I guess I feel better about scoring over 75 today but I have only 1 day for genetics and Im not very good in that ! thats whats making me feel uncomfortable

I'm with you on this one, and to the OP, here's some advice. Quit feeling sorry for yourself, and being hysterical. Your nbme score suggests that you will likely score +/- within 10 points. That places you anywhere between a 210-230 on the real exam. I have read about, and know quite a few people personally who have actually scored higher than their NBME 1 performance.

Im soo sorry if you have some ill person near you my friend or maybe u just gave an example ! But here I was talking about her mum - in - law not letting her go to her mums house in these critical days ! Not about her NBME !!! and I insist that this it IS a merciless behaviour not to let a homesick to go !!
I dont know in what feelings she felt sorry for 500 but I BELIEVE TO UNDERSTAND SOMEBODY'S FEELINGS , WE MUST WALK IN HIS/HER SHOES FOR 6 MONTHS B4 CRITISIZING AND EVEN IT LOOKS ABNORMAL !

Why not? If you have 2 babies + one nasty mum in law + No help+ dishes in the sink + pending laundry + upcoming Step 1 + NBME ...........
