I had my exam yesterday....the people in the center were so nice..a comfortable environment......the exam wasnt bad.....but after the exam i remembered little mistakes i made like forgetting to write that i did a fundoscopic exam.....hopefully I passed....its gonna be a long wait.... In one case I ran out of time and forgot to counsel one other case.. I thought first aid and usmleworld were soo helpful......so going through those cases and practicing with someone....I think is good enough

Hey Dr.Dove...I was just wondering how to manage time if patient is uncooperative. Right now, I am completing my case in 15-16 minutes doing everything in CVS/Respiratory/abd case. I have a question for you? Should we have to counsel for every patient if he/she is diabetic or hypertensive regarding lifestyle modifications or only in relevant cases? Do you think the real exam will take 2 more minutes in addition when compared to practicing cases? Wat was your experience?

Sorry sprint123...didnt look at this post for awhile...focusing on ck now...hope your exam went well. Kity.....try to finish in 14 min.....so you have a little leeway...just in case in the real exam getting nervous might delay you..hopefully that wont happen. I hear patient note is where more focus is placed on.......so practice pt. note taking. Know your abbreviations. I had one uncooperative patient...meaning she didnt wont to give more info....so I patiently asked her more focused questions. THe first aid...has scenarios of type of patients you may encouter....read those. Good luck on your exam.
