Contraction& alkalosis an ECF contraction worsens Metabolic Alkalosis decr blood Vol--> decr renal perfusion Press--->incr AII--> Inc Aldoster ---> incr Na reabs in pt& incr HCO3 reabs in pt---> worsening Metab. Alkal.

so contraction alkalosis is loss of Extracellular Fluid?? Still dont quite understand the terminology??

Luckyall, thx i got it now. Had to go thru this again slowly to make sense of it. Contraction alkalosis is then d/t Activ of renin -ang system hence absorbt of Na and HCO at the prox convoluted tubule. Hope I got this rite
