1. do I need this deans letter? Yes, you do. It is a big bonus if you have. But if it is imposible, ECFMG will generate a letter for you. People understand the difficulty of having a Dean letter for IMGs. 2. Do I have to send a transcript from med school even ecfmg verified my transcript? Yes, you do have to send your medical transcript to ERAS eventhough ECFMG did verify with your school. 3. What about LOR, are they important if they are from other country, or its better to find from here? If you have some USCE, I believe US LORs are "better" in that case. But if you have NO USCE, you can use LOR from your country, why not? Good luck

A deans letter and med. school per. eval. are different. In general, foreign med schools do not provide the mspe. Instead they provide a deans letter. If possible you should try to obtain your deans letter because if written well, it may favor your application. Don't worry if you cant get it by september because programs can not look at deans letters/mspe until november. If you read the applicant timeline on eras it will tell you that mspe are held until november and released to programs at the same time. However, you should still try to get it as soon as you can because during that time it may take eras 2-3 weeks to upload your deans letter/mspe after they have received it. LOR's are important even if it's from another country. If you get one from the U.S that's great, but make sure the person writing it for you knows you well. Personally I don't think a LOR from a U.S. doctor who has only known you for a couple of weeks would carry much weight. And it would be best if the letter came from someone in your field of interest. There's nothing wrong with having U.S. and foriegn lor's
