Anticoagulant given for valvular heart disease. developed superficial bleeding and mucosal hhges.PT and INR prolonged.skin petechiae seen.blood fibrinogen level decreased .diagnosis? a) protein c deficiency b) ITP c) Congenital fibrinogenemia. d) Warfarin overdose. is it A or D?? I'm confused. Wouldn't A show up with gangrene?

Can u plz post the Whole Question cos from this it looks like Protein C deficiency but the only thing that differentiates it from Warfarin is the Timing of the PT and INR does the bleeding occur in an acute setting or chronic settting a Previous Valvular Disease can be indicative of Warfarin dosage but the PT and INR dont Rise until 24-36hrs after ingestion or overdose.
