I've read before that scoring depends on the actual difficulty of the exam you took. Some people say the three-digit score is more reflective of your performance than the two-digit score. However, if you look at the hospital websites, they always refer to the two-digit score in their requirements. Whatever the case, I don't think there is reason for you to worry as your score is pretty good.

Actually Kity, I think that maybe...just maybe.... Step 2 CK has also gone the Step 1 way. I mean there may have been a reassignment of 3-digit scores corresponding to 2-digit scores....you can have a look at the recent step 1 score postings in the exam thread to realise what I am talking about. Where did you come across this Step 2 score of 224/94....

hi kity i had exactly the same query......i even sent a mail to ecfmg also regarding this........ and the reply i got from them was that the correlations have changed since 1 jan 07, as the passing score have been raised from 182 to 185.............this holds true for STEP 1 MAYBE THE SAME THING HAS HAPPENED FOR CK AS WELL i also feel 2 digit score is more imp bcos most colleges have listed the minimun score requirement in terms of the two digit score.......but dont know exactly,...just a guess BUT U GOT A GOOD SCORE BUDDY....CONGRATS

heard the same as hanskenneth... difference is due to difficulty of the exam...

It's weird. My friend showed me his step 1 score: 220/93 while my step 1 score is 227/92. Do not know the reason.
