Here r My answers for the NBME 1 Endo qs

Q 1. A 27 yr old man who has a Radioactive Iodine uptake on a routine Chkup
Ans is Papillary Ca.

Q. 2 A 25 yr old female with Generalized bone pain for 9 yrs.
Ans is A
The reason i choose A is that she is having all the signs of Secondary HyperPTH but the difference here to me was her loose bulky stools and proximal myopathy which r indicative of hypophosphatemia and of malabsorption so therefore her levels of Phosphate r gonna be decreased to.

Q. 3 A Neonate with Ambiguous gentialia
Ans is 21 - Hydroxylase Deficiency

Q. 4 Vasectomy
Ans is D

Q. 5 Diabetic pt Renal Biopsy
Ans is E she wont have diffuse glomerulosclerosis cos its too early in Presence of Renal Disease its a late manifestation.

Q. 6 Neonatal Hypothyroidism due to Maternal intake of Which Drug
Ans is PTU

Q. 7 Complicated Delivery
Ans Pituitary Necrosis.

Q. 8 Metformin Side effects.
Ans is LActic Acidosis

Ans is B as i think A is the Capsule

Q. 10 Graves's Disease
Ans E TSH receptor

Q. 11 NIDDM
Ans is D inc. peripheral insulin resistence

Q. 12 Abdominal Cryptorchid Testis
Ans is D Malignancy

Q. 13 Hypothyroid pt
Ans is B cos i think its Hashimoto's

Need Some Input for the REnal Biopsy of the Diabetics pt my first inclination was to pick B so need to know ur thoughts.

For the last Qs , 50y/o F C/o painless lump im think more of a cyst in goiter/ folic. adenoma, not quite Hashimoto.. mmmmmraised eyebrow let me check by late late tonight

for the last i choose B for it looked like Hashimoto's cos :

Choice A will dec the T4 levels to 0

Choice C doesnt happen without pain and is hyperthyroid condition.

Choice D is a picture of Graves which isnt the case.

Choice E that can happen in Multinodular Toxic Goiter which is mostly Hyperthyroid

the last choice remained which was B is present in Hashi n thw low T4 and High TSH do give a picture of Hashimoto.
