Whitish lesion over tonsils and soft palate of a 24 yr old boy seen by a doctor advised throat swab – gram staining do not reveal any organisms, was given antibiotic. he again presented without any resolution to his symptoms.doctor should:
A ask him to give another sample for throat swab as the organism is likely to be seen after the antibiotic therapy.
B This looks like it has been transmitted sexually,have you been exposed to somebody?
C I’ll refer you to a better physician.

is it beh science question or pathology?
d/d can be diphtheria, tonsilar abscess, inf mononucleosis? candidial inf in immunosuppresed pts.
ill go for ans A ! stop antibiotics and do culture
