A 14-year-old girl is brought to the physician's office by her mother who is concerned that the girl has not begun to menstruate. Physical examination shows normal breast development, no pubic hair, normal female external genitalia, bilateral inguinal hernias, and a vagina that ends in a blind pouch, and no palpable uterus or ovaries. Ultrasound examination confirms the absence of internal female genitalia. The underlying problem in this patient is related to which of the following?

A) Defective androgen receptors

B) Excess production of fetal estrogen

C) Excess production of fetal progesterone

D) Insufficient fetal testosterone production

E) Insufficient production of paramesonephric (mllerian) inhibitory factor during fetal development

the only reason being that the Question says 2 big clues
1) Absent Female Internal Reproductive Organs
2) Bilateral Inguinal Hernias ( Undescended Testes)

This is a chromosomal XY n gonadal male who due to undescended testes amd has no loss of MIF thus he had some female genitalia but the internal structures were absent. th ebreast development was there due to the fact that testosterone was converted to estradiol. this is a Complete Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome.

Any girl with scanty axillary or pubic hair normal breast development and a blind vagina comes to u for menstruating problems with bilateral/unilateral inguinal mass its a Male
