D CD40 ligand (CD154) is expressed on the surface of the CD4 + T cells as a consequence of the activation that follows the binding of peptide + MHC class II to the TCR.

Yup, CD 40 is on B cells and CD40 ligand (CD154 ) on the activated T cells. CD40 binds to CD154 and is critical for B cell maturation and secretion of IgG, IgA or IgE . Patients with mutations of CD154 make predominantly IgM and have an immunodeficiency called X-linked hyper-IgM syndrome.

Epica , CD28 is expressed on T-cells and it is a receptor for co-stimulatory molecule B7.
