Hi baby face, I just switched here from step 1 that I did a couple of weeks ago and have to confess that had a similar feeling about step1 vs step2 forum. I guess it's because we are less here compared to step 1. Anyway for step 1 I used a lot books, goljan kaplan FA BRs etc; for step 2 on the other hand I think it's better to just stick to kaplan. At first sight I had the impression that kaplan notes are too litte schematic and difficult to memorize but actually i was wrong. Even though they could have been more schematic they still are comprehensive and according to a lot of experiences they include anything needed to get a good score. So I think the best is to take it as a course with lectures in the morning and studying in the afternoon. And all from kaplan.

As integration I have downloaded Toronto Notes which are really good but sometimes too long and sometimes too generic: for instance it often gives among S/S of a given disease generic stuff (like malaise, nausea, vomit, fatigue etc.), that is stuff that doesn't allow you to really make a dignosis or to answer qs. I use them just as a reference if I feel I didn't really get something from kaplan and in that case I write on my kaplan "look TN", so that when reviewing from kaplan I know I won't miss anything.

Also very useful are the PreTest books even though qs are sometimes really tough (or maybe it's me too weak...) but anyway I do them everytime I finish a chapter to reinforce what I studied and to see if I can go ahead. Eventually, after doing the whole subject I do some tests from Qbook or qbank and if I have less than 75% go back to study again.

I haven't subscribed yet but I think that as for step 1 UW is must for step 2 too both to reinforce facts and to see at what level you are.

Hope this can help

I did just kaplan notes, UW Q bank, FA & crush... I did them again, again &......yet again..... studied for 3.5 mnths. got 225/91.. so I will recommend dont waste your time on extra stuffs.. this is enough to score well.. but try to understand & remember what you read.. I didnt referred to big books too..nod
