Alright this is getting out of hand

Now Listen to the Dunn Lectures n Esp the Part where he is discussing the Adrenal Cortex Malfunctions. Though He doesnt give the exact reasoning. but here it is

Zona Glomerulosa has DOC which converts it into Aldosterone.

Zona Fasiculata n Reticularis also have DOC normally which gets converted into 11-Deoxycortisol

the % age of Zona Glomerulosa in the Cortex is 15% and the rest is Fasiculata n Reticularis so in the 11-Hydroxylase Deficiency its the Fasiculata n Reticularis DOC is the one which causes the Major Damage cos the Quantity produced by it is very large which is exerting the effects of Weak Mineralocortiod.

Your Q is
Don't be nervous, Lucky

What the mechanism of HTN in a pt with 11 hydroxylase deficiency enzyme ?
The ans ia D because only weak mineralocort can incr BP? (z. glomerul)

NNL, we did similar Q from the Physio Q bank. Remember?
How r U?

Epica .............. i m fine

Yes i think we did but i cant seem to recall that one but apparently Dunn is right when he says its the DOC coming from Fasiculata n Reticularis which does the most damage cos the one Produced by Glomerulosa is not enuf to exert the Mineralocortoid effect.

Lucky is this ur Q ? Instead of "only" I think it should be "mostly" or something that
Pl, ans
Good point, guys

just to strike one more hammer to this topic.....
its all about negative feedback, in case of 11.beta hydroxylase def. its the zona-fasciculata and rerticularis which are effected but not the glomerulosa, as its negative feedback is based on Renin and angiotensinII, which wil be suppressed due to inadequately high secretion of weak mineralocorticoids from the unopposed zona fasciculata and reticularis.
so answer is C
good question lucky
