hi friends
i am an img currently in new jersey
i have my exam on the 29th may
lost my stetho and labcoat(one suitcase complete during my flight
and now if i buy it also they yake a few days to ship these items
plese help in this difficult time

They will supply you with a labcoat and i believe also a stethoscope at the test center... i assume you need this for CS??? Call ECFMG...

puchpal they will ask you at the CS venue (i assume this is for cs)if you need these items. i found their steth and labcoat in good condition (much better than mine). relax and do well!

yes i am taking my cs in phili
on may 29th
and actually ever since i lost these things in transit
i am a bit too worried........

but if i do not call them before going
will it be a big mistake
is there any chance that many more people come without them
and then a few may have to do without.........
please advise accordingly

I recommended calling ECFMG to be sure about the steth... however now other people are saying they do, so don't sweat it... on my test day a guy was loaned a coat... it's common practice... it won't hurt you in any way because this done during the registration process in the morning so the only people who know you borrowed your coat and steth are the proctors and the other testers...
if it will ease your mind - call ECFMG on Monday and confirm you will be able to borrow these items come test day...

puchpal, don´t get strees, relax..., They will provide this items at the test center, no need, to worry , no need to call them , but as CocaCola posted if calling will make you feel at ease then go ahead
At this point the most important thing is to be calm and cool for the day, on´t stress, wish u success

i didnt call them in advance. most pple prefer to use a steth that they are accustomed to hence they bring their own. hence its a remote possibility that many pple will want steths to be supplies at the venue. they will routinely ask each person signing in for the exam if you need a steth and lab coat. their steth is a littmann. loved it. so this shouldnt be a cause for worry.
focus your energy is preparing for the exam. good luck!
