I was doing UW questions for step 2 cs. Case 2 is about a patient complaining of rash....so differentials can be SLE, Rheumatoid arthritis...etc....... Anyways in the exam to do....it lists examine 3 joint...but doesnt specify which joints.....so which joints should I examine?? THank you.

Examine any joint on the extremities... ones that you think will most likely be affected by systemic diseases - i.e. wrist, knee, etc...

What do we have to note on the joints? -rash, erythema, effusion, swelling on inspection. -What about physical? ROM? Strength? pain? anything else???
