can any one please tell me how come there are two combining sites/molecule for B cell antigen receptors and one for T cell antigen receptor?

Because a NAIVE B - Cell has two antigen receptors ... i.e has both Ig M and Ig D ... therefore ... each one can bind .. to an antigen .. While T call receptor .. is known as TCR and has only ONE binding site .. !

ok i got it from doc 179
the ans is every Ig binds to two antigens but every tcr binds to only one antigen.
1 B cell has 100000 molecules, IgM + IgD and 1 T cell has 100000 tcr.

so 1 b cell can bind to 200000 antigens and 1 t cell can bind to 100000 antigen , theorotically.
sure it is not because there are IgM and IgD molecules on b cell. it just because any Ig can bind to 2 antigens.
