Dear Sir,
I am a medical graduate from Malaysia and have obtained MBBS.I am currently planning to join a 1 year M.Sc in Molecular Biology in Malaysia to help me understand the fundamentals of research.I am very much interested in research ecspecially in the field of Molecular Medicine-and will be applying for Msters in Molecular Medicine next year in Universities ihn the US.I wanted to know if there is any scope for this field in the USA?If any of you researchers have any idea then could you shed some light on this subject?By scope I'm referring to--opportunities,financial support, jobs, pay, future prospects etc.During my 1year in M.Sc I'm also planning to give the USMLE step 1 and 2 and also the GRE exam.Do I need to give any other exams?I'm giving the USMLE incase I don't get into a research programme in the US then atleast I can apply for a residency programme in Pathology(which will still allow me to be in research atleast!) Which reminds me, is it easy to get Pathology residency? How much scores are expected for an IMG like me in the USMLE?Thank you for your input/ideas/suggestions....very much appreciated.
Is it easy for Researchers to get PR in the US?
