Rather than letting us spoonfeed you ,you tell us what you think you can do as of now ...then I am sure people will come and contribute ...Not that its hard to contribute but you are one who probably is aware of everything ....we did tread this path with you before ...and you were going to step into apurvas shoes by helping the new members...So grab the initiative ...let everybody know what are the areas you think you can improve upon ...expand your post to be more specific

btw you wre greatly missed on the forum by all .welcome back .

1. Apply wisely according to program requirements.

2. Apply to over 100 programs to increase your chances.

3. But focus your time and energy on the programs you think you have higher chances, for example the hospital you did your Observership.

4. Do something positive which could be impressive at the time of interview, for example preparing a case report.

5. Work on your personal statment and CV. Show them to at least 5 person including 2 university professor and read them over and over in 1-2 days apart.

6. Have a strong and positive attitude in all of you want to do in this season and prove yourself in a way that program director can trust in you to rank you.

To spitmetal:

1. It means that you contact all the program before you send your application through ERAS to know which one sponsor visa, what are their score cutoff and what else might be important according to your situation.

http://www.prep4usmle.com/forum/thread/52962

2. The interviewer expects you to have done something while they are waiting for the match result esp in the field of medicine. They don't like applicants who have just applied and now are fooling around.

Laptop: it´s nice to see you around brother grin

I agree with my brother, by this time, you know exactly what you need, you've posted this question before in this and other forums. There isn't a magic formula. Just do what you know you've got to do. cool

I totally agree with all above....apply far and wide...do all you can to fill up the Work/Research/Volunteer experiance section of your MyEras application...the more the merrier...get more recent US LOR's if possible..and pray (worked for me!)..

Where is the progenitor of this thread ...he buys land for erecting a mansion and soon thereafter abandons it to let it become a communal toilet with no trace of harry ..harry come back and make it a discussion

grin jeje. I'm planning to cut all of my hair on my cranial vault as you say, soon. As soon as I may do it. I haven't seen any guruchu or any sign of them. Fortunately for me, maybe it's because I've been hidden and always following strictly the general anti-guruchu recommendations. I guess the match and its results played a role in the recent decrease in signs of guruchus.

  #13

whats guruchu???

I'm the public relation commandant of the Love Island fraternity/brotherhood. Our direct enemies are the guruchus. Check this out:

Laptop himself is a real legend of this fraternity

by the way, sorry harry for putting this completely unrelated topic out here but I'm just answering the question done by spitmetal.
