Hi

I am in Orange County CA and tried to find observership but could not. so disappointed.

Any help please!

I am looking for any hospital in any areas but could not find.

It looks like it is getting harder after the knowledge part..
Beside the observership you are looking for, do you have any US lors? it might help if you have one or two..It is very hard to have a spot for Usce or observership..I have been trying also but can,t find..It looks like , these people doing scramble and so on..have all the spot for their clients...I am not sure but try to see also with them..We have to be able to match in 2008..Good luck Robin..Let me know if you find one and how you did it....

At this moment I do not have any US LOR.

Now I am preparing for step 3.

If I cannot find a observership until Jul, I will do it in a small US private clinic. That's my back up choice. This is better than nothing.

Thanx Robin.
I wish you could have something but the small clinic is also a good option.because several people have nothing. I have already one very good US LOR and still working on having a second but it is hard...I am going for step 3 in July or August..We need now to stay focus and present the best credential possible even without a top 1 university observership..We never know what will be the outcome..We just do what we have to do and pray.. Give me an update Robin.if you find anything..

This afternoon I went to a local medical center, talked to the director and she agreed to accept me doing externship there, now I am preaparing documents for that center including vaccination history and Hepatitis B and TB test

Hope that Next week I will start and I have to postpone step 3.

Congrats Robin...
sort of had the same experience... applied for a position as a clinical research assistant at a community hospital... funding for the position didn't get approved but during application process i got a few contacts there and they offered an observership instead... great for them because they get free labour... great for me because i work directly with two heads of departments and will secure some good LORs...
hoping i could put down USCE on my ERAS application - not sure if i have to have a formal observership offered by a uni hospital... does anyone have any input on that?

Hey Guru and Robin...can u guys plz tell me the names of the hplaces where u got the positions and whom you contacted ...i am trying past many days ...no luck yet...plz help me out
