I think a paper of a "big" place it´s better..., besides you migth get stronger LORs and contacts..., and a very good experience....

one more dumb question--- if u r really impressive during ur observership- it increases the chance of a program accepting u as a resident.... does this rule apply irrespective of scores

i too heard the same from some ppl. i think it depends on who recommends for u. any person who is in the selection team or has a vital role in the program will be a big asset i guess.
