I am about to begin using UW which I have never used. If I am using as primary study source, do you suggest doing mcq in timed mode or untimed? Not sure what other options I have. Also, do you recommend using the highlight feature as they have on actual exam or does that slow you down too much?

timed mode is best. try to complete blocks by 50 mins as the actual exam questions can be much longer than uw. it puts you under time pressure to think thru questions and see how you perform. read the explanations immediately after you take the test.
do the blocks under exam conditions, so use the high light feature - it helps rather than detracts.
