robin ,you have to do swanson since it is very high yield for step 3.Also pdf version is not available ,and if u find one i will prefer to buy latest edition since there is a lot of difference in old and new edition.I myself bought the new one

Yesterday I finished all CCS cases, now do MCQs and revise at least 5 CCS cases daily.
I am going to do qbook now.
I have to speed up my study.

you can go to borders and tell them to get it for you .they will ship with in a week at your local store.
but new edition of swanson is good.Also do the q book step 3 ,plus kaplan notes with it.

hi everyone, wanted to ask if anyone is using aster notes? what are they and is it worthwhile? i`m doing usmlestep123 ccs cases ..phew!! they take a long time!!

hello guys, I didnot want to study for step 3.I had two good raesons.
1. Just tired of sitting home and studying.
2.Another reason is if i take it before interviews i will have to make sure i get similar scores as my other two steps.
Instead i was looking for some USCE/Observerships but i couldnot find one. Now i guess this is the only thing i can do now.
Please guide me what are the best study material for step 3 to ensure a respectable score.

Hi Sarika,
Your status is similar to mine.
I prefer USCE but could not find, I send lots of emails but all of them answered "no" or "filled".
Step 3 is the only way I can do at this moment.
I meet a counselor at Kaplan and she said that pass is enough for us, but high score is always good.
I aim at 85+.

Aster notes: about 100 pages, someone has post in in this forum. It is similar to Nasi's step 2 CK notes.
I have a note, 750 pages (like a text book), do not know whose it is, can threw away because it is not reliable.

Aster notes: about 100 pages, someone has posted in in this forum. It is similar to Nasi's step 2 CK notes. (type Nasi or Aster in search engine)
I have a note, 750 pages (like a text book), do not know whose it is, can threw away because it is not reliable.

i know sarika.. i feel terribly depressed reading for step 3 . no drive at all. but once we are done with this .. at least no more studies for a while. planning to do a months usce after the exam. its soo diff to go thru with the stress of another exam!!

Step 3 is the hardest USMLE. And most of us lose motivation when studying step 3.
