This is a classic median nerve injury, which lies superfical to the flexor digitorium superficialis. The laceration to the Flexor carpi radialis is an afformation that ulnar nerve is most likely to be intact. E sounds almost right, but opposition of phalanx 5 (digiti minimi) is unaffected and phalanx 2, 3 and 4 cannot oppose. All in all, her control of the thumb, esp. opposition is affected and consequently her hand dexterity is greatly reduced.
