hi guys, the answer to this question is certainly somewhere on the usmle website but i have no energy to search for it... i am a 4th year medstudent in germany and i have passed step1 last summer. now i am wondering what is the maximum amount of years that may pass until i have to take step2ck and cs and step3? cause i would prefer to take it in a year or so when i have finished the clinical part of medschool. thank you guys and good luck.

yeah you have 7 years starting the day you presented you first test, in your case step 1. to be ecfmg certiicated You have to complete step 1 tep 2 cs and ck and that's it!!!! step 3 has nothing to do with this time limit because to be able to apply for ste 3 you need to be ecfmg certificated
