oh yes its wednesday night... result day for dear edie...
I am waiting here too.. may be not today then tomm morning you will get thescore for sure.. MY CK, CS results came on thursday...
lets know you result.. my adrenaline rush again .. hope I get the same re my prep too.. but yes I agree.. medock will surely ace it too.. she managed last days soooo welllll like you... hope I had even 10% of self discipline like you both

Well, this is the end of a chapter in Book of Edie. I am retiring this journal. I will still visit all of you guys, though. I will soon start a journal for CK once I fully get in to studying for it.
Reflections: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
Looking back on everything, I feel like I lost lots of prime studying time earlier in my preps because of the symptoms I was having due to anxiety. It was really frustrating and difficult to try and concentrate with dizziness and feeling faint. These symptoms were so intense, I really thought I would pass out sometimes! Other days, they would manifest as migraines. Other days, i would feel so hot and feverish, and lethargic. My muscles would feel like lead. No energy at all. But, I tried to block all of this, telling myself over and over "Mind over matter" and continue to press on. I knew something had to be wrong with me if I had just studied a topic yet couldn't recall it and answer the questions on it correctly an hour later! I rarely mentioned these things here because that was not the intent or purpose at the time. So this is The Ugly.
The Bad is when I found myself feeling anxious about my studies, especially when comparing myself to my peers. I am talking about people I know inthe flesh vs on the 'net, because on the 'net you just can never tell what's what. It practically devistated me when they were outscoring me on their NBMEs and spending less time on their studies, etc. I think I touched on that here in the journal. I tried to maintain my good spirits, and on here, you guys reprimanded me well I went along with it, not because I had no faith in your guidance and advice, I just lacked it in myself!
The Good...well I think it's truly an added plus when you start out with a goal in mind, which for me was to keep this journal to keep track of things, and end up with that and GOOD FRIENDS! I knew this site had a supportive bunch, which is what drew me here in the first place. But I had know idea how incredible the people here would be towards me! I don't need to name you because you know who you are Oh what the hell, I'll be descriptive. One of you was my gestapo, always cool and keeping me in line. One of you was like my Mami, because the personality so very nurturing to us all here. One of you was a ray of light, really! The sun could not be a more perfect avatar. One of you was like my good uncle, a little goofy but well-meaning and always looking out. One of you was like my Book of Goodness. A daily dose of your words were the perfect Rx for any situation. Even when the words were meant not for me but for someone else. Another was like my personal trainer with all the great questions he shared. I will not forget you all.

 NOOOOOOOOOOOOO , keep it, no deletion at all , I am still at early page re-visit last night , I need my own good booster dose too , since have a bit hiccup this week .
NNL........... I was/ am going to ask the Mod to be... having all Edie's journal, exm exp , exm score as sticky , since , so organized, alive, true, honest, inspiring ...
so family ... how can we make this journal & other 2 exm one as sticky , since there is no good journal as organized as Ed & , especially no med student , IMS has decent daily organize good journal yet .
By having this one as sticky , will benefit alot of students , especially the IMS , always ask , how, whaich, when do do exm, use which material , can we do it etc .
Ed ... no delete this site please , ok ok , in exchange of ur food . Keep this open , like GGT did with his, so when we have qs or miss u , can come here as ur old home, to see, read, post hi, hello things.

i know, there's a lot to gain from this journal. but, i dunno what answer we'll get re: sticky, coz we keep making up so many stickys, the entire front page will be sticky. maybe the easier method would be to keep bumping this journal when it begins to sink. will be more fun, coz we'll be meeting here.
disclaimer: i myself would LIKE to see this pinned, just not sure if it be accepted [the mods will be like : 'yet another sticky from the step 1 babes!!' we seem to do that a lot. ]

Someone advised me to start studying now to get the best possible sccore after learning of my step 1. As learning, studying is good , always , especially continuous leraning , studying is.
But do make sure while having 1st read of st 2, which will prep for st 2 & ur clinical yr, also do not forget ur physical examination either read st 2 CS FA or , any commonly used physical examination book/books as basic foundation , so u will be well prep for ur clinical rotation & all st 2 CK, CS that will not get lost during clinical yr, st 2 study too .
