MT, sure I did, but I think it was too late. I am in US, and my exam is Aug 31st Hi Medoc, what's shakin'? Finished Nutrition and Neoplasia lectures. Went over correponding pages in RR Path. Did 2 sets of 50 q's UW, unused, timed, random, 40% and 72%. Wish I could be more consistent with these frickin' scores Did Robbins neoplasia q's, didn't keep track of corrects because I have seen them before, read the explanations on each. Now, getting coffee and will settle down with FA behavsci section and more Goljan HY notes. Three more days until NBME. Happy studying, everyone!

yeah 'em scores. They seem to have their own agendas. But you are consistently doing well with a few glitches. That shouldn't really bother you. Find out why you got those questions wrong. Some times it is only fatigue. What ever. nail 'em girl. Happy sunday reading to you. )

Good morning Journal, good morning to everyone. Didn't make it to FA behavsci yesterday. Instead, did the micro section. Which was cool, the gram +ve/gram -ve diagram/flow chart is very helpful for me. But then, switched gears, and went for the micro section in KME. Printed it out, of course. Better organized than FA's, but both have their merits. I just read a post in the support forum about PASS program for micro, vs Kaplan. I have the webprep audio, but that lecturer, though I love his accent, puts me to sleep. So I will check out the micro vid from PASS. Will post my review on that later. Medoc, my cum avg on UW just ain't budging, so I am done with trying to boost that number and from here on out, will just focus on the concepts. Having said that, if you or Mytime ever read my whining or crying about my UW scores, please deliver a nice and substantial flogging my way Hi Study, thanks for the pop-in. Two more days, just two more days...ok, gotta get to work. Will finish micro from KME, check out the micro vid from PASS, then I will come back here to talk about that plus do rounds on everyone else. Later!

Okay! Done with my review of bugs and drugs. I could only stand two hours of Pass. Not that it isn't any good, that guy is great--I love how he integrates, I mean, he's just all over the place, and it's all good I just don't have the time. Wish I'd watched sooner. What I ended up doing was reviewing FA and KME, then I read all the clinical cases in the back of Levinson, then did a half batch of UW micro mixed with immuno. Got 68% on those Mytime, to answer your question about UW q's, I can only surmise that it has to do with the q distrubution. Some tests I get are ridiculously difficult, with most answers having only 30-40% users getting them correct. On the test that I got 40% on, the avg was 45%. Med, you are funny, lady! Yep, concepts. Mechanisms. Not the 'what', but the 'why'...why...WHY!!! Hi Novak, how are you? Gotta visit your journal and see about you, ja!!! Now, it's time to put a little Goljan into my head. Doing endocrine. AGAIN

OK q distribution must be based on difficulty levels. So u sud be good. Whatever u make a mistake in see if More than 45% got it rt. If yes, u got to read up on that topic again. If not then read up the explaination real good. U'll be fine Eds. believe me........ just stick to stuff u miss and HY.

Good morning! Time sure flies when you're prepping for the boards Will finish endo lectures this a.m., then read HY notes, then FA. Did a half-batch of UW, 50%. Hi Medoc. Will do endo q's later on to see where I am. Really need to get to pharm again. And BS. Acintya, my next NBME is tomorrow. My debate is whether or not to do it online? Need input, leaning towards offline, since I think you can multiply your percentage correct by 3 and get a good guesstimate of the 3-digit score. Per Gogeta, you need to take off 20 points for NBMEs 1 & 2. Any input on this from you guys would be good

Yep, Mytime, you hit the nail on the head, for sure. Am going to make up a test of all incorrects in tutor mode, at least twice per day, 25 q's each. I wonder if your incorrects stay incorrect, or if you answer correct the second time around, does it no longer count towards the pool of incorrects? Slap me if that's a dumb question

Silly goose If u have anything like VISUAL memory which most Docs have u'll remember what u saw before! So listen up that's no use......... they might write the same thing differently in the test............what u need to do is...... plz.... understand why the other four are incorrect and then U can say BRING IT ON!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Journal and Good People Hey Shwe, Unique KG, and Medoc! I am back from the lib and taking the NBME #1. Went to lib because lawn workers at home making a ruckus with the mowers and trimmers. Nice and quiet (and cold!) at library, no internet for me, left my damn lib card at home So results...did okay, but fell slightly short of my goals, to get 40+ every section, or at least 80%, on the offline form. Distractions: towards the middle of the last part, a homeless guy came and sat at my table, I asked him to go, he ignored me, no guard around, so I had to pack up and move mid test. Also, I had no idea it would be so freakin' cold on that floor, didn't take any sleeves, so I was with goosebumps the whole time. Results: Part 1 = 40 Part 2 = 37 Part 3 = 39 Part 4 = 37 Per the posts on the forums, you can multiply your score times three to get an estimate of the 3-digit score. Per Gogeta, a more realistic estimate for forms 1 & 2 is to take away 20, since those two forms are supposedly easier than 4 & 3. Now having taken form 3 online with a 460 = 209 a million years ago, you would think I would blow form 1 out the water...NOT!!!! My total for form 1 is 153/200 * 100 = 76.5. By the guestimation of times 3, minus 20, that's a 209.5. So far, both the NBMEs and my cum avg on UW put me around the 205-210 range. Unless, I can get those 20 points back from Gogeta If anyone knows the 3-digit score that correlates with a 90, please let me know Compared to Form 3, Form 1 is more basic, straightforward, way easier than UW, and with those knee-jerk types of q's that are probably like the easy freebies on the real thing. I will take Form 4 next week, and Form 2 week after that. Unique, thanks for the kissy hearts, how cute!
