You are doing great, it seems that you are always focused. You are right about staying focused, we have to not only prepare ourselves with the books, but we need to remember to eat correctly, exercise, and sleep too! By the way, have you gotten protective or clear glasses to avoid the strain in the eyes because of the computer? or anything? Habe a good weekend!

Good morning! Just did a timed, random full batch of UW q's, that is, 50 unused, for only 54%. I will soon be out of unused, so things not so well for my UW scores. Would be nice to consistently get 60% or better on UW towards the end I have thousands of q's from that other question bank, so may as well get cracking on those. I went through the explanations for all the incorrects, and will finish corrects later. Of the incorrects, there were at least 10 q's related to things I have already studied, that I should have gotten right. It's impossible for me to put EVERYTHING on a notecard. The solution? FA, FA, FA...First Aid!!! Perhaps you didn't hear me: FIRST AAAAIIIIIIIIIDDDDDD!!! So today, friends, will be a FA Day. Happy FA Day to everyone!

Okay, I have been plowing through FA, am getting tired of it, but, must continue. Feeling giddy reading all of the success stories in the Exam Experiences section. Lots of motivation there, for sure. So many great scores, good prep stories. Can't wait until it's my turn But first, it's time to do some q's

Sweet Sunday! Having a dinner date this eve with hubby, so have to make the most of the studying today. Still trudging through FA. Normally I would do a batch of UW q's first, but not today, sticking to the reading. Did a half batch of Kap q's last night, did well on them, 20/25, 80% Will continue to read FA, then top off with UW q's. Happy Sunday, everyone!!!

Hi Shwe, thanks! I went over to sign up for the RR Path q's on the elsevier site, already have RR Biochem q's access. Each time I try to log in, my PC hangs. So much for that source, the last thing I need is PC issues. I hope I am not missing out on those path q's!!!

Thanks, MT. I find myself rushing through the pages, then have to stop myself, put on the brakes, then go back over the page slowly. Then, close my eyes and see how much I retained. Seems to be working, it is similar to what I do with the notecards. It's just so BORING! But will not give it up. The writers of the FA books do know the MLE inside and out, backwards and forwards

Ed , same happen to my RR online, cannot even enrol when after have book from book store. So have to call them to call me back then set my acoount on phone. But still so many trouble , so I never get to the Qs. Also gave pc problem that I cannot effort to lost contact with family here like you & all . So I stop sing in, now do not even know my user or pass word any more. Might stick with old book CD Q then. If any different , let me know . re FA , you did the v. right way of study, I think is yang way, I also read 1st rush 1st then , slow for real serious right after that for good portion of the topics , pages , but not FA yet. I meant in my all study , dvd, LN , books etc, Qs . Why we both close the eyes to try to see how much we retain, remember , to recall ?? I think we borned, study like that b4 Grey Christina Yang is borned . GL Ed .

Hello Edie! Hope you enjoyed your dinner date with hubby! So is FA flowing in your blood yet? Looks like most of the test takers...wait a minute...probably ALL of them vouch for it!!! Yeah the best way would be to test recall. Like Dr. Daugherty says you should be able to look at the page and be able to explain the stuff like you would to a ten year old. Then you have it down! Good luck with a great week of studying

Good morning journal and friends! Had a wonderful time last night, but drank a bit too much wine and now slightly hungover. Water to the rescue! Plan to continue another chapter of FA then get started with the GI and hepatic/biliary chapters of RR Path + audios. Hi Shwe, I am leaving that site alone for now, but let me know if you get it working, ok? Acintya!!! I like what you wrote about being able to explain things to a 10-year-old. I suppose I could try that with my husband

Exactly Make your mind a camera. Take a snapshot of the concepts. Close the eyes, and use your mental picture to recall and remember. It might seem a little goofy, but it works!

Agree . It works for me since I was born , seriously, not joking . But in public with eyes open though but sense of seeing real things infront of you blank ..shut in seeing things other than my pages books or notes that recall even my music notes while in high school band, orchestra . I look like day dreaming or gazing , or not there , so ppl thought I am such a dreamer Ok , back to study, Ed . re RR.. I have to ask, call them RR ppl , so will know my user name , pw. Just have to look at their web in see contact info . Will let you know if I am lucky to get into RR web . GL

What a day. Tried to read FA today, but studying just would not come to me earlier, so watched a movie "Amores Perros". Tried to do my yoga, ended up falling asleep! Absolutely no more overdoing the wine before step 1! But now, will get going with FA for the next couple of hours. Hi Keep Going, made a muss of the day, but am redeeming myself tonight. Mytime, LOL!!! Yes, this would make quite the science-fiction (or non-fiction) movie! Shwe, so you are saying I should skip Pappi's GI audio? Med! So good to see you again! Am better later in the day rather than sooner, but what the hey, right? Hangovers! Ugh, things of the devil, for sure

Good morning Journal, good morning everyone Just finished my morning half batch UWs. Scored 64%, random, unused, tutor. Trying to stay in the 60s with UW, both modes. I truly believe that if I stick with FA, I'll do it Yesterday, didn't touch Goljan, just read FA for like 2 hours, then went to bed. KG, I liken FA to driving on the expressway to get to Point A. KME is like taking the scenic route to Point A. Both take you to same destination. With FA, you get all the informative billboards and highway signs. WIth KME, you get those same billboards and signs plus nice trees and landforms and buildings. I hope my goofy driving analogy makes sense! What I do is compare both, then choose the one that has what I need at the time. Example, I chose KME musculoskeletal section over FA's. But will still do my 3+ reads of FA before the exam, at least, that's the plan
