what are the best antispyware softwares (spyware, malware, adware, etc) ???? in order of efficacy?

Hello,
I got the Lavasoft Ad-aware SE personal, http://www.lavasoftusa.com/ , very satisfied with it. Never had anything else before, and when I made a research on it, it seemed to me the best one between the free downloadable softwares.
Let's see, what guys would say, I'm only the girl .

if you wanna buy...spysweeper is the way to go...
if you want a freeware...lavasoft is good ..but i would prefer spybot S & D
