Shwehope....those are some nice questions u raised that i forgot to mention. Yes if u can get a small atlas or online web site to review the most common CT and MRI do that. very basic CT and MRI appear on the exam. although u can do most of the questions from the stem you might get one or two questions only in which u have to decipher the image. Yes there are tons o graphs on the exam in pathophysio and pharma. however they are none of the graphs u see in your books! of course that doesnt mean u shouldnt read the graphs in the books, you should read them but more importantly understand them very very well. they will help u indirectly in the exam. I didnt get any purine pyrimidine ring forms in the exam.i.e. no chemical structures. In neuro anatomy u can get those things u mentioned study it very well it is a very imp subject i did read the books 3 times.

Saleha... for step 1 is better to do the online version. however if u cannot afford or some other reason then use the book version which is not very widely available as yet for step 1. Even doing all kaplan should be good. june to december is six months should be enough if u dont take long breaks like a week or so in the middle. I will be posting a list of high yield topics soon which everyone should revise in the last days of ure prep.

I would like to give some general advice to people who have been asking me HOW to study for the exam. The advice is simple. The test is as much memorization as concepts. If you understand the concepts, keeping them in your memory will be easy. Some of the stuff is just simple learn and regurgitate. But dont be so alarmed if somewhere in some subject u dont understand something. It is the same with all the people even with high scores. Just try to get as much understanding as possible, but remember you have to do some memorization as well. you cannot go through this exam by just fast reading through the books.

Thank you for your last post, what im concerned about, is how to keep all these books on the tip of your tongue in order to be capable of answering the Qs in one min.?! Do we have to memorize all of them as we memorize in school, just repeat repeat repeat?

i think praying4a99 what reza means is that get the concepts as much as you can and when you think you cant get ahead in a making a concepts rata it (memorize it) eg chrug strauss syndrome! it has eosionophilia allergic rhinitis and asthma besides vasculitis! this is to me a rata. similarly rata the chromosomal nos. trisomies , diseases associations and so many things! the reason they say to finish your course atleast 3-4 times is that you get that page imprinted in your head and its easy for you to recall in 60 sec in exam

inkspot ... thank you for your comment ... so, the whole idea about the many readings is memorizing! ... but what should you do when you have many sources for each subject: Kaplan+BRS+made R.S.+ and maybe some text book ! What do you do in this case? Stick to one or copy the others on one!

try 2 limit your resources! like this is what i am doing! i m currently reading goljan and am adding stuff from FA and robbin review to my goljan, on my subsequent reads i may not read FA and robbin again! rather only goljan! condense the HY stuff. and i have gained from my expierence that its better to make ur own notes than to follow others sorry rezaaa for hijacking your post !

rezaaa, Thanks for the detail reply. I thought I have replied but my post just not get through I guess. So one more Q , re CT, MRI , etc images, if can solved with Q, just v. few Q are not, in that case can I spend time on review, read more LN kap & Q etc than do all on line web pictures . I will do kap patho last picture review , FA 2007 & golj RR latest books pictures, & kap Q bank, UW Q pictures , HY neuro, BRS anatomy, neuro pictures, diagram, ....without doing any other web pictures .. namely ... netanatomy, web path, etc all web images to speed up my study . Please advice openly if it were you, what will you do re those pictures, images, slides. Thank you.

it depends on indiviuals approach praying4a99. i like adding stuff to my goljan rather than FA. on my last reads i plan to read LN and goljan and not FA ( different than what most ppl do or follow here) but its my approach and i think it will suit me, do what ever u think will work best for you. rez thanks you are an inspiration dude! sure will follow ur footsteps
