hi guys, sorry for the delay. (as if so many ppl were waiting!! ) but anyways, i was in the battlefield on 10th and i was enjoying for two days , but u know what? i was already missing this forum!! anyways, i think after taking all moral and educational support from this forum, it was my moral duty to give my feedback.. i am not very good at keeping track of exams, but i'll try. blocks, first two easy, third average, fourth and fifth tough, sixth very tough and seventh easy.... questions were very well distributed and intermingled. many ct and mri questions..mostly case was directing towards the ans, but one should defenately look at some of the pictures as there were one or two pictures oriented questions without any case stem..( i didnt do it, which i regret...i think some honourable seniors misled me telling its ok, case will lead u.) in one ct, pancreas related abnormality was there, and options totally weird. i dont know the ans. so i can not tell u more than this. contentwise patho highest and then others equal. mol biology was not that tough or weird, but defenately i worked well on that, so i could ans those. lippincott and high yield is enough i think. what else? oh yes, one thing i noticed, alcohol and third nerve..this two topics came by like 2-3 times....so i think some topics which they really want u to know, they will try to trap u over and over... and hey, that sixth block i talked about, it was full of thinking and logic and calculations , so i was short of time at the end and i messed it up a little ..do take care of time. ( i practiced a lot, but i think sometimes it happens) then also..practice as many question as possible..there were similar questions and i think that really helped me boost my confidence. i dont think i went by through this description properly, but i am open to questions.about my sources i should talk about later.( if my score is good, then only its worth following, right? i'll let u ppl know about it later.) all the best to all of u.

thanks all for ur wishes, keep me in ur prayers plz... yes, there were calculations from both subject - biostat and pharmac..conceptwise they were simple, but after all u r a doc, not maths genius..u have to stop and think for a while..but the irony is, they expect u to think that in 2 min......otherwise as for me, u r short of time, so practice it. for ikspot, its ok ..u can ask as many questions as u want .i can understand ur sit and as i am free , i will be willing to reply. for patho , BRS was my source. contentwise good. covered everything. just u have to careful to read and learn each and every line. i did take kaplan qbank online and also UW.both r worth as they boost ur confidence. NBME before 4 weeks 450 and before 2 weeks 550... its good revision and when u improve, u feel good about ur prep..(for correlation, i can comment only after i get my score) first aid is good, but only for passing..if u really want to ace the exam, go for richer sources and stay in touch with first aid side by side, so that u can revise it for last two days, when u r mostly confused about how and when and where and how much to read... ..so u r correct. even i dont like short cuts..but at the end u cant go through everything as the exam is not subjectwise and at that time first aid keeps ur mind busy and confident as u mostly know everything in there.... my prep time was in breaks..i prepared for 2 months and then i had to take break due to some personal preoblems, then i again started after 3 months, and did it for 3 months this time before finally taking exam.

Get ready for the questions How many concepts came from UW? and how many questions where really close to what UW has? what about qbank kaplan? wich NBME you did first and second? Which NBME was more similar to the test?

hey GOGETA, i think we have been posting our NBME scores together last week. i have taken one and two and scores were 450 and 550..anyways, its difficult to compare which test was closer. both had some concepts that were tested in actual exam, but one thing is for sure. exam was not more difficult than those two forms. so if ppl r correct in saying form 3 is difficult, then i dont think its required. they just test ur basic concepts. UW is defenately closer than kaplan. 40% questions were close to kaplan and 60% close to UW.....concept wise, everything expected. in UW, mol bio and calculations in bio or pharmac r not covered fully and i think that was a negative point for my prep, as i was not that confident with calculations. otherwise, exam is not impossible. there were some damn easy, some easy, some hard and some very hard questions....i think they have some sort of equations to balance them, but overall exam was doable.
