Can anybody answer this question for me? Then most likely location of oral cancer in patients with history of tobaccco chewing? Kaplan Qbank says lower lip, followed by floor of mouth, then by tongue. BSR Pathology says tongue in more than 50% cases. I assume tongue is the most common location. Which one is right? Thanks a lot.

Other than the lips, the most common areas for oral cancer to develop are on the tongue and the floor of the mouth. Individuals that use chewing tobacco, are likely to have them develop in the sulcus between the lip or cheek and the soft tissue (gingiva) covering the lower jaw (mandible). http://www.oralcancerfoundation.org/facts/
