Depression:

after you are done with FACE slips

what DD and investigations do u explain to the SP..

and what councelling do you do for it??

DDs for depression - depends on accompanying symptoms... most likely fatigue will be the prominant symptom... so DDs appropiate to fatigue - obstructive sleep apnea, HIV, hypothyroidism, chronic fatigue syn, anemia, etc...

Other DDs for depression - dysthymia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, etc...

investigations would be - CBC, TSH levels, sleep studies, HIV testing, toxicology, thyroid ultrasonography...

remember we allways have to adjust for the patient whose presented...
