Where does first step its of metabolism takes place( be specific/@ the level of organelles) ?

is it in the mitochondria asmi??? :oops:
ethanol is said to be "mitochondrial poison", thats why i assume...
lemme me know the correct answer though

The first step takes place in peroxisomes + SER of liver .

The second reaction( where DISULFURAM acts) takes place in mitochondria.

so does it mean that alcohol dehydrogenase is present in ( peroxisomes and ser) and aldehyde dehydrogenase in mitochondria?
