due to some personal unmentionable reasons... i m stuck in a bad situation. i have to take my step 1 on july the 19th by all means n i havent studied a word.. just got the study material today n starting off..
luckily i am not working these days n got full time to study. will maintain a study log here.
i need ur reviews, encouragements, brickbats, tips... all r welcome.

if you start now, you'll have 2+ months to study. i think you'll be just fine if you hit it hard - american med schools only allow for 6 weeks of study on average, and people do just fine. and a 95? please! i say you go for a 99!

Dude Seriously If U r the King Of Wishful thinking then Surely u can Score but a 95 or Something better than is like blowing ur horn unless ur an AMG who just recently gave his 2yr exms then u have a chance. But No Matter wht u give ur best Shot u never know Cos GOD Sure Does Work in Mysterious Ways, !!!!!

risky , when you have no other choice , then better do it with full faith and devotion . Be positive and believe that you can do it. Hard work always pays off. Now how much score will you get , depends a lot on your back ground. If you are a recent graduate and have studied well during your med.school with solid concepts , then high 90,s is definitely possible . Good luck.

thank u guys.. the first day is over.. i gave my best.. did 7 lectures and read the corresponding pages which made the first 4 chapters (57 pages). not enough by any means! slow start i guess. any suggestions? still not feeling confident about the minute points like details of substance abuse.. m pretty poor in mugging up!

I say you can totally do it.
Step one: make a time table.First allow maximum reading, followed by some reading some questions and then more questions less reading.
Step 2:Prioritise what to read when.Read actively.Make associations.
step3.Concentrate on why an answer is right or wrong.
Step4.Believe you can do this.

END OF DAY 2:
i m furious, cos i m slow. managed to do upto sleep disorders. a lot to remember!! huge number of minor points. 5 more chapters to go. and the q book! gosh! i need some speed. and confidence. cos i m not confident even about the topics i ve read! phew!
but its an interesting subject!
