Typically HIV progresses from the onset of infection to evidence of immunosuppression over what period of time ?

dont think its one of the best questions one can answer,
if u in a developing nation the answer is 5 to 10 yrs,
while if u are in a developed nation its goin to be 10 to 15 yrs or even more.
anyway plz give me the answer, and explain how did u get there.

Correct answer is C.

Usually HIV progresses slowly and the beginning of immunosuppression is about 5-10 years after the infection. Ifection begins with a brief , febrile, acute viral syndrom followed be a long symptom free period , until the CD4 T lymphocytes begin to decline providing evidence of immunosuppression .
