Please refer to announcement below by ECFMG:

"Multiple-choice items with associated media clips will be introduced in USMLE examinations no earlier than Summer 2007. An announcement will be posted to the USMLE website approximately 2 months before any items with associated media clips appear on an actual USMLE examination. Additional information will be posted to the USMLE website as it becomes available."

I'll give the exame June, 1st, does anybody know if I should expect those changes to be in place? I haven't heard any new announcement about this, and it says that 2 months prior to them an announcement would be done.

Nevertheless, there is also the following statement:

"Normal score reporting for Step 1 usually occurs in 3-4 weeks. However, because of necessary modifications to the test item pool as well as the processing load caused by a heavy volume of test takers, there will be a delay in score reporting for most Step 1 examinations administered in late May and June. The target date for reporting Step 1 scores for most examinees testing from May 18 through late June will be Wednesday, July 18 , 2007. It is possible that scores may be available earlier; please check this website for updates."

I am not sure if these 2 post are connected.

Any opinions?

they arent connected.the reason why the may-june session goes heavy for the NBME is because the AMG's also appear around the same time so their workload increases all of a sudden.i dont think it has anything to do with the videoclips.delay in score-reporting for the months of may, june and july has been there for a long time now.
