albany,vermont,connecticut
all these require malpractice insurance,Iam not sure about cornell

Albany, East Tennesse & Emory accept only applicants from LCME accredited schools so.. tough luck!
Vermont, cincinnati, connecticut, louisville are quite good, ask for malpractice insurance, but have no tuition fee requirement
Brown asks for $2873 tuition and I think is the most expensive program, Cornell ask for $2000 tuition fee - both don't provide MI, so that's another $1400-1600
Yale has 2400 tuition requirement and I'm not sure about MI

LCME accredited schools are some of the US schools, some from Canada and a few others (I think some of the Carribian schools). I'm preety sure if you're from India, your's is not, but please check that info. I was interested only in my school when I searched the net and mine is not!

Some of the schools are resonable and don't expect you to buy the MI before getting accepted in the program. You can contact the companies that provide MI and they can give you a note saying that you can buy it from them, to attach that document to your application.

wow......I think that legally you are not a medical student once you begin your housejob (ppl call it 1yr clerkship etc) It will be an amazing task to ask your dean to give you a letter stating that you are still enrolled in your med school.....................Many if not most unis clearly state that u need not pass your final year (5thyr) exams during your elective. Step 1 is must for many. If step 1 aint there.....like kansas then they need ur toefl! Mount Sinai doesnt need any of these things......but they offer J1( this J1 is not that return-compulsion1 ..so try it our....1of my friend learnt so much at mount sinai that he assisted srgries, did stitching, etc)

BOL all!
