Match the following effects by receptors M1, M2, M3. Use them once, more than once or not at all 1) Miosis 2) Negative chronotropy 3) Vasodilation 4) Bronchospasm 5) Dec cardiac contractility 6) Accomodation for near vision 7) Inc tearing, salivation 8) Inc GI motility 9) dec cardiac conduction velocity 10)Lower esophageal sphincter contraction 11) Inc GI secretions 12) Relaxation of trigon and sphincter muscle

1) Miosis ----->M3 2) Negative chronotropy ------>the heart just has M2 receptors 3) Vasodilation -----> M3 via NO in endothelium do not have direct innervation 4) Bronchospasm ----->M3 5) Dec cardiac contractility ///////no just act in the heat rate and conduction velocity 6) accommodation for near vision-----> M3 7) Inc tearing, salivation Inc GI motility ------->M3 9) dec cardiac conduction velocity -------M2 10)Lower esophageal sphincter contraction -----M3 11) Inc GI secretions -------M1 12) Relaxation of trigon and sphincter muscle ------M3 easy way: M3-------->everywhere except: Heart-----M2 GI tract glands ---M1 and blood vessels not direct innervation, but M3 acts by NO in the endothelium its easy or not?

Yes i knew that easy way that M3 is everywhere and M2 in heart and M1 in GI glands, just wanted to do it separetly to test my speed. This is one thing i have learned by taking step2, u dont have enough time to make associations in your head, u need to be fast. Anyways in this case, there is quite an easy way out as u pointed so maybe this is not one of those panicky concept recalling cases. Appreciate your input and yeah M2 in atrial muscle: dec contractility (negative inotropy)

the point that no direct cholinergic innervation is important....becos indirect acting parasympathomimetics have no effect on vessels...
