I am very frustrated and depressed at the moment. I took an NBME test for the second time and I got a 320!! The first NBME test I took was about a month ago and I got a 300.
This isn't much of an improvement and I don't know what's going wrong. Honestly, I didn't study as hard as I could have but I did the Usmleworld almost 2 times and I read the Kaplan rewiew books about twice. Medicine I read more than that!
I think my problem is that I'm not consistent with my studying and I'm taking too long for the test. Most people take about 4 months, its been about 7 months for me!! I haven't been studying the whole time but still it just seems to be dragging.
I feel that I know my stuff but when i do questions, my scores are low. I'm totally missing something here and I NEED HELP!!
What can I do?? What should I change to at least pass this test??

hi pripri,
i got a really good advise to postpone my exam . n i did it !!! , now probably will be taking it in the last week of may or first week of june . ok , first of all , i am going through kaplan notes all over again with special concentration on obs @ gyn and peds which were my weak subjects and will go through uw once again all the questions . this i hope to achieve in 15 days !!! . i know its tough but doable as it will be my third reading of kaplan notes and second time for uw. PLZ. TELL ME IF U HAVE GOT BETTER IDEAS . AS FAR AS A SCORE OF 320 ON NBME , i personally think that it is a just passsing score which is even worse than failing !. i feel that we have to be confident enough that we can get atleast 85 on ck and that relates to a score of around 450 on nbme !.all said and done , dont lose heart as nothing is for sure and people who have done bad on nbme get surprising good scores on the actual test . its the day of the exam that matters . personally i think u should also postpone it for another week or so and that will give u the time to go through uw or first aid. do write back. and best o luck for ur exam.
