Margarita a 30 YO female recently married one year ago suddenly for the past six months starts having delusions but no hallucinations, She is convinced her husband is cheating and constantly accuses him of this and even goes to his job to try to catch him although he is not cheating. She has tried on one occasion to cut her wrists and has also trashed the apartment they both live in. She also refuses now to clean and cook two things she would do before what is your diagnosis

a. Bipolar disorder
b. schizophrenia
c borderline personality disorder
d. schizoaffective disorder

may be B, as delusions indicate a psychotic disorer. only schizophrenia is a psychotic disorder amongst choices. The better answer should have been delusional disorder( othello syndrome- from shakespear,s othello).

its only bn present fr 6 months....cannot b a personality disorder!!it is a delusional disorder fr sure...cd b B or D...I wd go fr D coz of the wrist slashing...wht say u?
