Hepatic failure 2 days after ingestion of 100 (500mg) acetominophen tablet. What is the primary mechanism? 1.Depletion of glutathione 2.formation of superoxide 3.inhibition of adenylyl cyclase 4.inhibition of ATPase 5.stim of cytochrome oxidase Now this one, Im ashamed to admit I am not sure of. I had it down to 1, or 2. I know that glutathione is needed to eliminate it, but I also know that it forms radicals, so I think it might have sumthing to do with the timing (2 days later?) but I cant figure it out.
