hi friends... its my very first message on this forum after silently checking it for some time and then deciding to ask for ur useful advice... guys i took my step2 ck in jan and dint clear it... i havent been able to start it again.. now i plan to take cs before my ck. my cs is in june end. i plan to start studying for ck from july 1st and then appear for it by august end...2 months prep. in order to be able to go for the match.. i have late eighties in my step1. friends i want u to help me and advice me if its possible for me to take ck in two months ( alot of guys on this forum have taken it in around 3 months and so 2 months for my second attempt looks acceptable to me ) ? and wht do u guys think, if I God willing do as i plan, are my chances in the match? Ill really appreciate ur help friends. Thanks alot.

Its a hard question to answer.....because it depends on each indivudual. Some take less time to study and take the exam....some people take long time (e.g. 7 months) to study and take exam. As you study evaluate yourself with nbme and decide with that if you are ready to take it after 2months. Goodluck

i f u plan to take any test, not just usmle, in a short span of time just remember that u have to plan first. plan for at least 2to 4 days before actually starting preparation. planning should include ur weak points which u need to strenthen. and verry important way of study, time u will be devoting, notes making, and books u will read etc. good time management is very improtant. good luck
