Hi all. I am a new member to this forum. I hope you guys can help me with my dilemma. Basically Iam graduating next month here in the UK. Although I have a job here already, my future plans are in the USA. So I am thinking of not taking the contract so that I can concentrate on my USMLE exams. My main question is it really important to appply for residence without serving internship (ie as a direct college leaver like what US students do?)

it depends upon you that how much time are you taking for your step and done with all before getting into residency, from my point of veiw it is not bad to work while taking your exams,it puts load on you but ,time should not go waste (no clinical experience) like a year before applying to residency
